At Padbury Community Garden Inc., we’re always thrilled to see new life take root—whether it’s a seedling pushing through the soil, a new volunteer joining our gatherings, or the kind of generosity that strengthens our whole community.

We're excited to share that Padbury's well-known Jarrod O’Neil from The Agency has donated $500 toward the purchase of a magnificent mango tree for the community garden. Jarrod's generosity will contribute to the garden's expansion and enhance the community's capacity to share knowledge about fruit tree planting, sustainable and healthy living, and tree maintenance, eventually resulting in delicious, healthy produce and much-needed shade.

Mango trees aren't just extremely popular, they're long‑living, resilient, and productive. Much like community gardens themselves, they take time, care, and support to thrive. A mango tree will give back to the PCG community for decades to come, offering delicious and nutritious fruit, beauty, shade and a reminder of what generosity can grow.

We are certainly looking forward to seeing Jarrod at the community garden soon, however, given the impressive mango tree that PCG will be able to purchase with Jarrod's generous donation, he'll definitely need to bring a bigger spade to help us get that tree planted 😉!!!

From all of us at Padbury Community Garden Inc., thank you for supporting our Charity, community garden, and our community as they continue to thrive 🌳🥭💚 We look forward to sharing photos of the new tree's purchase, planting and progress!

If you'd like to get involved, drop us an email on padburycommunitygarden@gmail.com, register to attend a Garden Gathering or Busy Bee, or simply pop in to have a wander around at the community garden any day... there's always something blooming or growing.

Should you or your business/company have the capacity to provide some level of support to PCG, just as Jarrod has, don't forget that PCG is a Charity endorsed by the ATO as a deductible gift recipient. Therefore, donations of $2 or greater are tax-deductible 👌🏼 Why not donate locally, to benefit the local community you live in.
