Our Team
This wonderfully dedicated, multi-skilled team make up the Padbury Community Garden Inc. Committee. This team is made purely of volunteers, gaining nothing but the knowledge that they are doing something wonderful for the community of Padbury and the surrounds. It is a labour of love.
No matter how much or little time you have spare, the team always welcomes new members to jump on board. It's always great to have new faces and new minds joining in.
The Power of Community Gardens
Welcome to Padbury Community Garden! Padbury Community Garden Inc. (PCG) was founded in June 2021, due to the heart and passion of a few community members. Since then it has grown into something bigger than was ever visualised. PCG is now an Incorporated Association which is an endorsed Deductible Gift Recipient Charity. PCG is working towards reducing isolation and improving mental health throughout the community and surrounds. Although PCG are yet to build the physical garden, so much work has already occurred in rolling out programs to fulfil PCG's purpose
and kick start the establishment of the physical garden.
Our Missions
Arrange opportunities where individuals are supported to work on meaningful projects and/or activities in the company of others
Relieve isolation and loneliness, and advance mental health, regardless of ability, age, gender, religion or cultural background
Provide a hub where people can meet to learn, teach, share and connect
Strengthen connection to Whadjuk Noongar Country and community
Fundraise to ensure the successful functioning of the Association and its work
Undertake charitable activities for the benefits of the broader community
Establish a community garden in Padbury WA, to engage with the community and 'grow' together with the community, in every sense of the word
