The One When We Were....
Through our charity's partnerships, collaborations and work within the community, our wonderful volunteers have had some incredible opportunities to showcase the incredible work and impact we are having on our community. Come on a journey with us, and see all the amazing opportunities we have had to appear in the media.

The One When Guru Productions Visited Our Community Garden
and We Ended Up On TV!
Once again, through our charity's partnership with Mentally Healthy WA - Act Belong Commit, we were generously put forward for an amazing opportunity with Guru Productions. Guru Productions were interested in filming a segment for Destination WA, within a community space that put into practice and effectively demonstrated the ethos of Act Belong Commit. We were honoured to be put forward for this opportunity and to be recognised for our demonstrated passion to put this important mental health ethos into practice, in all that we do. As Guru Productions also produce the segments for The Garden Gurus, it was a perfect opportunity to 'plant two trees with one seed' and obtain footage for segments for both shows.

The One When We Were Part of The State
2026 Act Belong Commit Media Campaign
Since 2023, Mentally Healthy WA have been a valuabled and valuable partner of our charity.
Through the partnership, the Act Belong Commit campaign, delivered by Mentally Healthy WA at Curtin University, strengthens our charity’s ability to promote positive mental health and wellbeing within the community.
Through this partnership, we receive support by gaining access to evidence-based mental health promotion resources, training, and statewide campaign materials that help inform and amplify our activities and events. It also connects us with a broader network of organisations working to improve wellbeing across Western Australia, while recognising the community garden as a place where people can act, belong, and commit through meaningful community activities, volunteering, and connection with nature.
Campaign background
The 'For Better Mental Health' campaign encourages people to take simple, everyday actions to support and protect their mental wellbeing. Guided by the Act Belong Commit pillars, people can stay active mentally and physically, connect with others, and take part in meaningful activities – together, these actions can make a difference to our mental wellbeing. The campaign recognises economic, cultural, and accessibility barriers, and highlights many ways for everyone to take charge of their wellbeing, supporting healthier, more connected communities across Western Australia.
