Where it all started

Our History

The idea of creating a community garden in Padbury started from a few Padbury residents getting together, and gauged the community's interest in the idea via a social media post. Only to find they weren't the only ones keen for the new adventure... and the rest is history!!

Expanding Committee, diversifying Teams

Enjoyed what we had created during 2025, absorbed the learning, nurtured relationships with exisiting and new partners  

So far the start of 2026 has already been a hectic and exciting one. We have seen an influx of wonderful new volunteers attending our gatherings and events, submitted numerous funding applications, so far received positive responses from funding applications so far, planned so many amazing opportunities for the community to engage with us in the coming year, are about to launch a new partnership and starting Stage 2 of the community garden!! Not bad for a solely volunteer-run Charity!

At the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, PCGI enjoyed some amazing opportunities to showcase what we had achieved, in the media. Both on a local, state and national scale.
