The weather Gods were on our side for the first Busy Bee for 2025, with a refreshing cooler morning after so many hot day, new and familiar faces enjoyed joining us in the community garden.
It was amazing to have 26 community members (and one pup) join us today, with so many new kiddos to meet! We just love seeing the children out in the sun, getting their hands dirty, tasting new fresh produce and touching wiggly worms.
Thank you to Amanda, Ava, Bryan, Beate, Christine, Dave, Dayle, Harry, Heiko, Jason, Jeff, Jen, Juzzie, Liam, Lily, Lynne, Macey, Maggie, Marilyn, Max, Michelle, Sandy, Scott, Sharlene, Sue, Tam and Vince, for volunteering your time today. From the effort you all put in, not only does the community garden look amazing, but we have all come away with smiles on our faces, our happiness buckets full and our hearts warm.

Our seasoned garden apprentice, Max, joined us today again and this time not only brought along his Dad, but his Grandma Lynne and Grandad Jeff too. Max is an awesome gardener, who always brings along a massive smile, enthusiasum and generosity. Max kindly shared his wheelbarrow and tools today. Thanks Max. You're a great asset to our garden community.
Ava brought her Mum, Amanda, and Dad, Heiko, to help today too. Ava especially loved the blueberries and mulberries. Their family donated a loquat tree, as well as awesome pink dragon fruit and sweet potato cuttings. When they have grown roots, we look forward to planting them and watching them grow. Thanks Ava and family for your generosity.
Maggie and Harry, together with Max, absolutely loved checking on the worms for Karen, our Worm Team Coordinator. They checked out the layers and saved a few worms from drowning in the worm wee. They all thought it was great fun.
What a great kick off for 2025. We can't wait to see what this year brings for the community garden and PCG as a Charity. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
