The Easter Bunny found our garden

Writer's picture: Padbury Community GardenPadbury Community Garden

What an overwhelming turnout for our Inaugural Easter Egg Hunt in our new community garden!

After more than 120 people arrived at the garden this morning, when there was only expected to be just over 50, we had to make some quick adjustment of the plans on the fly, so we truly appreciate everyone's patience, understanding and contributions to help the event go ahead. It ended up being an amazing morning with so much community spirit. The wonderful families were so appreciative and the gorgeous kids had the most beautiful manners. It was a pleasure to be able to hold this free event for the community.

Thank you to all the kids (and Sara) who crafted amazing Easter hats to enter the Easter Hat parade. It was hard to pick our winners, with so many beautifully made hats.

Congratulations to Ed and Zoe for winning the Easter Hat competition! We hope you enjoy your prizes.

Congratulations to Abby for winning the 'guess how many lollies in the jar' competition and for so generously sharing your prize around for all the enjoy. You truly are a little treasure.

Wishing everyone a very Hop Hop Hoppy and safe Easter with your families.

Hope to see you in the garden soon.
